BACKGROUND<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

IRID (Indonesia Research Institute for Decarbonization) is an Indonesia-based think tank focusing on policy\u00a0analysis and policy advocacy to support decarbonization and resilience society. As an open and neutral\u00a0<\/span>organization, IRID supports gender equity, two out of four its co-founders are women. IRID will employ and treat\u00a0<\/span>people based on their capabilities that suites to the need of the organization, not based on their gender, ethnicity,\u00a0<\/span>nor religion.\u00a0<\/span>Established on 13 December 2020 in Jakarta, Indonesia, IRID was founded with a strong vision to continuously\u00a0<\/span>promote decarbonized and climate resilient development, not only in Indonesia, but also at the global level. IRID\u00a0<\/span>works in the areas of, but not limited to, climate policy and negotiation, carbon market, renewable energy policy\u00a0<\/span>and development, climate finance as well as environment and climate law. IRID also aims to not only raise\u00a0<\/span>awareness but also to build capacity of relevant stakeholders to make them able to actively contribute in the effort\u00a0<\/span>to achieve decarbonized and climate resilient societies.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

To do so, IRID is currently looking for a Senior Researcher, with the following tasks and requirements.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

SCOPE OF WORK<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Under the direct supervision of Research Director, the Senior Researcher will undertake the following tasks:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

1. Leading in developing research concept on IRID\u2019s core issues: decarbonization and\/or climate resilience;<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

2. Leading in data analysis activities related to IRID\u2019s core issues: decarbonization and\/or climate resilience;<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

3. Leading in developing research publications on IRID\u2019s core issues: decarbonization and\/or climate\u00a0resilience;<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

4. Contributing to the research and development of communication materials, as necessary.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Selection criteria:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

+ Minimum Master Degree, preferably with experiences in climate change, energy, and finance policies;<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

+ Having experience of minimum 7 years in conducting research on climate change, energy, and finance\u00a0policies;<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

+ Eager to learn on issues related to IRID\u2019s core issues on decarbonization and climate resilience at all levels,\u00a0global, national, and sub-national;<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

+ Capacity to work simultaneously on a variety of issues and tasks independently, adjusting to priorities and\u00a0achieving results with agreed objectives and deadlines;<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

+ Demonstrated ability to function as a team player in a multicultural team, within and across teams, deliver\u00a0on complex and sometimes parallel tasks on very tight deadlines.<\/span><\/p>\n
